Plated Rich Plasma (PRP)

Do you want to improve your skin naturally using your own body's own growth factors? Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is an advanced treatment that uses your own blood plasma to stimulate skin renewal and collagen production.

At Xavier Clinics we apply PRP for clients who choose natural skin improvement, hair stimulation and anti-aging without synthetic products.

What is Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)?

PRP stands for Platelet Rich Plasma. During the treatment, a small amount of blood is drawn. This blood is centrifuged, separating the plasma with a high concentration of platelets (growth factors).

These growth factors:

  • Stimulate collagen and elastin production

  • Promote cell renewal

  • Improve skin structure and elasticity

  • Support hair follicles in hair loss

Because PRP is completely natural, it is a very natural treatment.

What is PRP used for?

PRP can be used for:

Skin improvement
  • Fine lines and wrinkles

  • Dull or tired skin

  • Relaxation

  • Acne scars

  • Tear troughs (in certain cases)

Hair treatment
  • Beginning hair loss

  • Thinning hair

  • Stimulation of hair growth

During the consultation we will assess whether PRP is suitable for your specific situation.

PRP treatment: our approach

At Xavier Clinics we work according to a careful medical protocol.

Our working method:

  1. Collection of a small amount of blood

  2. Centrifugation of the blood to isolate the plasma

  3. Injection or microneedling with concentrated plasma

  4. Personal aftercare advice

A treatment plan usually consists of 3 sessions with an interval of 4 to 6 weeks, depending on the indication.

Goal of treatment:
Stimulation of natural regeneration processes for long-lasting skin or hair improvement.

Result of PRP
  • Improved skin structure

  • More elasticity

  • Subtle reduction of fine lines

  • Natural-looking glow

  • Support for hair growth

The first results usually become visible after 3 to 4 weeks, with further improvement in the following months.

Consultation with the doctor

Before all treatments, a consultation is scheduled. During this consultation, the doctor will listen to your wishes and explore the options available to achieve them. The doctor will thoroughly inform you about the pre- and aftercare, the expected results, any risks, and the recovery process for the chosen treatment.

The treatment

Once you've chosen to undergo treatment with us, we'll ask you to complete a medical questionnaire and sign a treatment agreement beforehand. If you take a lot of medication, please bring your medication list to your appointment.

Photos will be taken of you both before and after the treatment for your medical records. In some cases, the skin is locally anesthetized with a numbing cream or anesthetic solution before the treatment.

Aftercare

After the treatment, you will receive an aftercare form by email. You do not need to stay at the clinic and can go home immediately. It is common for the skin to be red and swollen after the treatment, and sometimes some bruising may occur. These side effects will disappear on their own. It is important that you cool the treated area well with the cool pack you received, if advised. If you experience severe bruising, we recommend applying Arnica cream to the treated area.

It is recommended that you avoid applying makeup to the treated areas for the first four hours after treatment. Exposure to intense heat (sun, sauna, or tanning bed) is also discouraged for one week after treatment. We advise against having a facial for two weeks after treatment. You can assess the final result after two weeks.

If you have any questions about your recovery, please feel free to contact us.

Risks

The risk of complications is very small. As with any procedure, there is a small risk of infection or allergy.
