Lip fillers a new hype?
Everyone seems to participate. Fillers in the lips. What was previously only available to popstars and elite has now become the most normal thing in the world. Friends, colleagues and even the girl behind the counter in the supermarket, we are almost thrown to death. What is so special about those lip fillers? And are those fillers safe at all? All these questions come to mind when I think about it. Don’t those fillers hurt a lot? Are your lips numb first? Don’t I look super fake right away?
There is only one way to find out and that is by undergoing the lip filler treatment itself. After a long search I ended up at a filler clinic that appealed to me. I collected some pictures of examples I like online, just a bit more volume, but absolutely not too much. Before I knew I was in the chair of a filler clinic in Amsterdam, Xavier Clinics. The doctor explained to me that lip fillers consist of a body’s own substance and that fillers are therefore not dangerous. This already reassured me enormously. While the doctor explained what would and what would not suit me, I felt my lips tingling as if I had ended up at the dentist. The numbing cream started to work.
Afterwards it was not too bad. I have clearly been worrying about nothing. It looks scarier than it feels. It has now been 14 days since I had my lips filled. I must confess that I found it a little bit too much at first, but this was partly due to the swelling, meanwhile I am used to it. The doctor kept my own lips with just that little bit extra, just the way I wanted. My surroundings hardly notice it, only the people who know me well have seen it. I finally understand the hype now.
