Consultation with the doctor
Before all treatments, a consultation is scheduled. During this consultation, the doctor will listen to your wishes and explore the options available to achieve them. The doctor will thoroughly inform you about the pre- and aftercare, the expected results, any risks, and the recovery process for the chosen treatment.
The treatment
Once you've chosen to undergo treatment with us, we'll ask you to complete a medical questionnaire and sign a treatment agreement beforehand. If you take a lot of medication, please bring your medication list to your appointment.
Photos will be taken of you both before and after the treatment for your medical records. In some cases, the skin is locally anesthetized with a numbing cream or anesthetic solution before the treatment.
Aftercare
After the treatment, you will receive an aftercare form by email. You do not need to stay at the clinic and can go home immediately. It is common for the skin to be red and swollen after the treatment, and sometimes some bruising may occur. These side effects will disappear on their own. It is important that you cool the treated area well with the cool pack you received, if advised. If you experience severe bruising, we recommend applying Arnica cream to the treated area.
It is recommended that you avoid applying makeup to the treated areas for the first four hours after treatment. Exposure to intense heat (sun, sauna, or tanning bed) is also discouraged for one week after treatment. We advise against having a facial for two weeks after treatment. You can assess the final result after two weeks.
If you have any questions about your recovery, please feel free to contact us.
The risk of complications is very small. As with any procedure, there is a small risk of infection or allergy.
These are fillers
Fillers are injectables based on hyaluronic acid, which is injected into the skin. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance that biodegrades over time. The advantage of this is that the risk of allergies is relatively small. The ultimate goal of a filler treatment is to add volume to the face. It also improves proportions and contours, and softens wrinkles and fine lines. The end result: beautiful skin and increased self-confidence.
A different thickness of hyaluronic acid is used for each facial indication. The treatment's effect lasts an average of 6-12 months, after which the treatment must be repeated to maintain the desired result.
After the treatment, the skin may be red and sometimes bruised. This will naturally fade. The final result of a filler treatment is clearly visible after 14 days.
The filler treatment
During the first appointment, the professional will create a treatment plan tailored to your specific needs. Each facial indication will require a different type of filler to achieve the desired result. After developing this treatment plan together, a follow-up appointment can be scheduled for further treatment.
Your skin may be red and bruised after the treatment. This will fade on its own. After 14 days, the effects of the fillers on your face will be clearly visible.
Repeat filler treatment for best results
A filler treatment is therefore visible on your face almost immediately. Because hyaluronic acid is broken down by the body, the treatment lasts an average of 6 to 12 months. After that, you need to repeat the treatment to maintain the desired result. You can also start this sooner. You should discuss this with your professional so all options can be explored. There are a wide variety of filler treatments available. Some of these are explained above.
