Hello beauties,
A lip filler treatment Lip fillers remain one of the most popular cosmetic procedures. They are performed worldwide. Since everyone has their own unique lip shape, there are many techniques that can be used with lip fillers. This can sometimes cause confusion, and we regularly receive questions about them at our Amsterdam clinic. We've listed the most common techniques for you.
What does the Russian Flat Lips technique involve?
Russian Flat Lips is one of our most popular lip filler treatments. The beauty of this treatment is that the lips retain their natural, flat shape. The name comes from the flat, yet voluminous shape of the lips. This technique takes its name from our beautiful neighbors to the east, where full lips are the ideal.

What does the Russian Lips technique involve?
This technique involves injecting tiny drops of hyaluronic acid vertically into the lip. This technique widens, lifts, and opens the lip shape. This creates the appearance of a lip curling upward rather than increasing volume.

What is the Cupid's Bow?
The cupid's bow is the middle of the upper lip, where the two halves meet, often in the shape of a small arch or roof. The hyaluronic acid is primarily placed in the lip margins, giving the front of your mouth and lips more definition.

What does the keyhole pout technique involve?
As the name suggests, it's also known as the "keyhole method" technique. Using a thread, a hole is created in the center of the upper and lower lip, creating a sultry pout. This treatment involves tightening a thread in the center of either the upper or lower lip. The resulting void creates a keyhole-like opening between the upper and lower lips.

What is the linear threading lip filler technique?
This is the most natural technique. By respecting and accepting the flap shape as it is and only adding volume to the existing shape, you enlarge the lips without altering them. The technique is so called because the filler/hyaluronic acid is used to create what appear to be straight threads.
