What started your interest in lip fillers?
My interest began in 2018, when a revolution in the beauty ideal of lip shape occurred. Large, full lips are considered the modern beauty ideal. I myself had very little upper lip area, which really bothered me. From there, I started looking into what methods were available on the market.
Were you insecure about your lips?
Yes, definitely! At one point, I was unsure about this, so my search for lip fillers began. As my search progressed, I became incredibly enthusiastic about the Russian method. I found it an interesting method because it also fills the edges of my lips, emphasizing their contours. Furthermore, the Russian method causes my upper lip to curl, making them appear larger.
How did you decide to visit our clinic?
Naturally, I did my research first, having read so many horror stories online. To avoid these kinds of horror situations, I find it crucial to be treated by a BIG-registered doctor. A BIG register is a Dutch registry in which all healthcare professionals are registered. This way, I can be sure I'm being treated by a doctor. I also find it crucial that a clinic is transparent and listens to my wishes. I absolutely didn't want a duckface effect, and the clinic told me that this can only happen if too much filler has been injected into my lips. An honest clinic will tell me when I have too much in my lips. With all these requirements in mind, I searched for a clinic that met my needs, and that's how I found Xavier.
How was your experience?
It was very pleasant. Upon arrival, they asked for my medical records and gave me a thorough intake interview. I outlined my wishes during this interview. I was incredibly nervous, but the doctor took her time and reassured me.
How are your lips now that you've had lip fillers?
My lips were incredibly swollen after the procedure, but that's normal. After a week, most of the swelling had subsided, and after two weeks, it was completely gone, and I saw the final result, and it was beautiful. I wanted it naturally, and the doctor delivered. No duckface, but more volume in my lips. Exactly what I wanted.
