Smooth away wrinkles..

Smearing away wrinkles with a cream sounds like a pipe dream. Yet, there are countless products on the market claiming to be "anti-aging." What's best for your skin, and what actually works? When you're overwhelmed by the choices and see little improvement with the most expensive products, I understand why you might easily throw in the towel.

We now know that drinking water is very important for us, and that the right moisture balance significantly improves our skin. We also know that we naturally have a good dose of hyaluronic acid, which attracts moisture. We also know that we can buy hyaluronic acid in an injection, which is what we use for our fillers, for example. But what you often do with fillers—to create volume—isn't always what you need. If you simply want to improve skin quality, something less intensive should be sufficient.

This is how so-called skin boosters, designed to hydrate the skin, came into being. One of the most well-known skin boosters is Profhilo. Besides improving the skin, this substance holds a patent on Salke Haenkenium, the scientifically proven substance that also provides a lifting effect and contains diluted hyaluronic acid. This all-in-one package gives you the feeling of wearing the very best day cream every day without having to do anything. Scientists at IBSA Italy claim that a mini facelift is unnecessary thanks to this product. Making it even more accessible is the Profhilo Haenkenium Serum, with the exact same formula, only it's applied over the skin rather than applied directly. We extensively tested this serum on the face, neck, décolleté, and hands, and after two weeks, we saw significant improvement. Another advantage is that this serum can be applied directly after botulinum toxin and filler treatments, and it soothes the skin.

This product is available at our clinic in Amsterdam or can be ordered by sending us an email (info@xavierclinics.nl).
